Drop It Like It’s Hot

The lovely Emma from Dear Pluto is hosting her first pop shop this Saturday and Sunday at 106 Pitt Street, Redfern.

With our common love for quality vintage, we are super excited to see what new things Dear Pluto have in stall for us. We sure know that by all chance Emma will pull together a sweet ol’ weekend with the occasional lemon lemonade and swingin’ tunes.

One things for sure, there will be bargains! Vintage all under $50 is too good to miss. All one of a kind’s once it’s gone it’s gone. So make sure you get there bright and early.

You Crafty Bastard

June’s installment of You Crafty Bastard sees us with a rad set up of cool ceramics to design. Think plates, bowls, teapots and teacups. There’s nothing like customising items you use daily and upscaling them with a funky cool emblem that’s personalised and you get to take home to your parents (just like in kindergarten).

There will be treats, sweets, beverages, good conversation and groovy music! Nothing like a sneaky mid-week fiesta to curve your spirit and unleash your wildest creativity.

It’s also very sad to say, but this will  be the very last You Crafty Bastard held at Dear Pluto. Unfortunately, Dear Pluto will be closing their doors and we will be relocating our events.

So you want to be a cool cat and join us? Well read below my friend for what you need to know.

Tees and Tote Printing    and     Crochet Night!

You Crafty Bastard

Oh what fun was had at the second of Teaspoon of Sugar Emporium’s You Crafty Bastard Craft Spectacular.

Ladies and gents gathered together and we designed sweet Totes and Tees and seriously had a sick time. Drinks were flowing, aiding the design process, nearly damaging fingers with the blades used to cut designs, but all in the fun of screen printing.

Held at the lovely and ultra cool vintage store in Surry Hills, Dear Pluto, we were in a mystical drunken haze of funky creativity and vintage inspiration. The hip owner Emma was kind enough to take some happy snaps for us and all photography is courtesy of her. How kind!

You Crafty Bastard is held at the start of every month, so jot it down in your diary! You can keep posted here!

If you love vintage as much as we do, make sure you pop along to Dear Pluto some time and say hi to Emma! She would love to meet you! Check out here website here!

Talking Bout Our Generation

A beautiful Sunday spent at Dear Pluto in Surry Hills. The monthly Summertime market is set in a cute little courtyard filled with local creators and their crafty bits and pieces.

The shop hosts several events like this each week. One of my favorites is Monday night film night. This week the shop is screening Who Framed Roger Rabbit. With free popcorn, lots of cuddles off the house cat Milly and friendly faces it’s the ultimate Monday night.

Teaspoon of Sugar Emporium had its first market here today and it was lovely. Other than the occasional clothes rack falling over and the jewellery blowing away, I wouldn’t let anything ruin my day.
